FBC Andalusia Women's Ministry

Devoted, unwavering love between sisters in Christ can change the world.  This is the heart of Women's Ministry and ministering to other women around you:  seeing needs and determining to show up and help meet them in Jesus' name.

  • BOWTAG: Bunch of Women Talking About God - Meets on Monday night at 6:30pm at the home of Linda Moore / 505 Third Street… a look at how God’s Word continues to give us hope and encouragement today by looking together at God’s Word and focusing on scriptures that encourage a personal and daily relationship with “Him.” This is a place for Discipleship, Accountability, Bible Study, Mission Outreach, and Prayer. The study is opened to all women in our community. (Led by Linda Moore)
  • As For Me (with Adrienne Camp) August 23, Wednesday night at 6:00pm. From songs of praise to cries of lament and everything in-between, the book of Psalms captures the wide range of emotions in life. The psalms become the prayers you carry with you into every moment of every day, so that you, too, can say with confidence, “As for me, I will worship and serve the Lord no matter what. The Words model an incredible resolve to keep your eyes on Him and His unfailing love and faithfulness no matter what circumstances surround us.
  • Precept upon Precept: James – A Faith That Is Real (with Wayne Barber) Begins Thursday, August 24 at 9:30am at the FBC Student Ministry Building. James has many different themes—perseverance under trial, riches and poverty, wisdom, the danger of the tongue, prayer, faith and works--but what ties them all together is James's desire to take the teaching of Jesus and apply it to the Christian life (Led by Lisa Jones) This study is opened to all women in our community.*Study Guides are $22.50 and can be paid for and ordered by August 7 through the church office.
  • Women of Hope—Desperate for Hope by Vaneetha Risner. Begins Friday, August 18 at 10:30am in the FBC Student Ministry Building. The author, Veneetha Risner, shares her own story of loss and grief and is able to ask the hard questions about suffering. She gives scriptural framework to help us find hope, even in loss. This study will take us through women of the Bible who suffered loss. God knows what we go through, he knows why we're here, and He's the expert at bringing us back to living again. This study is opened to all women who have lost a spouse in our community.
  • Love Your Neighbor--Third Tuesday Study: Begins Tuesday, August 16 at 9:30am in the Student Ministry Building and meets once a month. The fall study will be a guided tour of feasting through scripture, based on the book, The Lifegiving Table Experience. (led by Linda Finlin) *books are $3.50 / Please bring money to church office by August 7 if you would like one ordered
  • Women On Mission--Meets Tuesday, August 23 at 12:00 and will meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month in the Student Ministry Building. Women come together to serve spiritual and physical needs of people as the Great Commission is carried out and the gospel is shared. All women are invited to be a part of this ministry by serving others. (led by Jennifer Dansby)
  • Faithful Workouts--Inspiring Physical and Spiritual Fitness: Meets from 8-9am on Monday and Wednesday each week, women meet in the student Ministry Building to participate in various DVD-guided exercise for all ages. Contact for more information
  • Ministry Opportunities: We recognize the importance of Bible study in a woman’s life. Women need other women to encourage them to live in obedience to God’s Word. If you are interested in hosting a small group Bible Study in your home… asking friends, neighbors, or anyone you encounter that wants to know the Lord in a deeper way.
